Argument:  Mike Patey has done a number of new and innovative things to his Lancair Legacy in the past year.  He converted the Lancair from a IO580 to a IO780, engineered and built new engine mount, built a cold air induction with special intake pipes and 4 into one equal length exhaust.  He designed and built aluminum plates for 6 and 8 cylinder Lycomings to tie together the cylinder heads to even out the heat and structurally reduce the stresses to the case.  He called these "headlockers".  He then decided to go to a forced air induction and designed a light weight housing for a blower unit. These are only a few of things that he accomplished this last year.
