After Action Report

Record Setting:
There were nine record attempts, by five different airplanes, seven of which were successful.  As far as we know this is more record attempts set by more airplanes at a single event than has ever happened in the history of aviation record setting.  Not listed below, Tanner Yaberg set a point to point record from Napa Valley APC to Mojave MHV in his RV-7A.

Awards Dinner:
The awards dinner was planned for one hundred plates, we ended up feeding one hundred and fifty people.  Local rock band (from the spaceship company) "Shame and Glory" performed an aviation record themed set.  Nasa Flight Director and Kitplanes Editor Paul Dye spoke about taking risk during flight test.  And most importantly we awarded the trophies for the experimenters of the year.

 - Best Failed Record Attempt of the Event
Tom Aberle for his 3km attempt

 - Experimenter of the year 2014
      Mike Patey: 780 Lycoming conversion

 - Best Test 2014
Zach Reeder: Catbird Long Range Fuel Mods

 - Best Build 2014
      Kevin Eldredge: Titan Engine Development

 - Best Design 2014
      Jeff Lange: Turbo Conversion Sonerai

The flyin was a huge success with airplanes spread out from the restaurant all the way down to the tower.  The final tally is not yet complete but the airport recorded well over 500 operations, making it one of if not the busiest days in the history of the Mojave airport.  Website traffic is almost double what it was in 2013.
